We have been informed by Ofsted that Newman School will be inspected on the 14th and 15th January 2014. The lead inspector will be Mr Alan Lemon. Inspectors look at the school’s self-evaluation and analyse the pupils’ progress and attainment. They talk to the headteacher, governors, staff and pupils, and consider your views as a parent.
Ofsted have provided several documents to accompany the inspection, all of which can be found in our Letters to Parents section of the School Documents Manager - click HERE to view them.
A Letter to Parents explains how Ofsted would like parents' views, why this is important and how to contact the inspectors. School Inspection - A Guide for Parents outlines why and how Ofsted inspects schools. Finally, Parent View is Ofsted's new online questionnaire that allows parents and carers to give their views on their child's school at anytime of the year. Ofsted will use the information to help make decisions about which schools to inspect and when. The results will also be available to inspectors at the point of inspection.
We look forward to welcoming Mr Lemon and his team.
