Many thanks and see you there - Bilal
The last day of school is Friday 22nd December.
We return for the Spring half term on Monday 8th January 2018.
At lunchtime today there was a Student Council meeting of epic proportions. There was some heated discussion around several subjects including school bells, water fountains, national charities and lunch times!
There was a definite decision made and the Student Council have decided to support WaterAid, a charity that aims to provide everyone in the world with safe, clean drinking water.
Keep tuned for more announcements regarding other issues discussed by the Student Council.
REMEMBER: There is a suggestion box outside the hall for any questions/comments you may have for the Student Council, or if you would like come along to the next meeting it will be on the Tuesday 5th of February in the art room.
Another fantastic meeting of the Student Council today, attendance is very good this year, so thank you to everyone who participated.
The rota for student council members who will set up lunch time activities will start very soon! The merit box has moved from the bottom corridor and is now located outside the hall, underneath the Student Council notice board. Keep an eye out for a new Student Council group photograph which will be ready very soon.
Remember the suggestion box is always ready to take your comments and is on the Student Council notice board.
The next Student Council meeting is on Tuesday the 12th of February, 12:45 in the Art Room. See you there!
We went to Rawmarsh and we learned about animation. We did an animation and a book about Sluggles.
We made an eBook, with pictures and writing. The eBook had fifteen pages of writing and pictures. We each made 2 or 3 pages. We had already written the story in Mr T's English lessons.
We moved the slugs in the animation. We moved the slugs a bit at a time, because it would look silly if it went really fast. We had to make the pictures big and small. We gave the slugs bones! With bones the slugs were able to dance and do a jig.
This is what we thought of the day:
Marcus - 'It was a fantastic day.'
Liam - 'I want to go again because it was fantastic.'
Charlotte - 'It was a fabulous day.'
Channelle 'Good [thumbs up].'
Miriam - 'Today was brilliant.'
Lucy - 'It was an exciting day.'
Sarah - 'It was brilliant because we all had a fantastic day and we all had fun!'
Megan - 'It was awesome, we all had a lot of fun and we made an animation.'
Leon - 'Marvellous.'

Student Council Meeting - By Millie
On Thursday 9th November we had a Student Council meeting. We talked about changing the house names. We have had the names Snow Leopards, Red Pandas and Jaguars for a long time, so we thought we could change the names. If you have got any sugestions about what we could change the house names to, come to the meetings. We would like to hear from you.
