Science is the systematic investigation of the physical, chemical and biological aspects of the world which relies on first hand experiences and on other sources of information.
In Science at Key Stage 1 and 2, students at Newman School are exposed to a vast and varied amount of first hand experiences. Students are encouraged to explore and problem-solve in order to deepen their understanding of the scientific concepts involved. The curriculum in Key Stage 2 follows a 4 year rolling programme based on the National Curriculum Programmes of Study which focus on Biology, Chemistry and Physics topics.
Through science lessons, Students at Newman School will continue to deepen their respect, care and appreciation for the natural world and all its phenomena.
