KS5 Maths

You never fail until you stop trying.

Albert Einstein

All pupils continue to study maths unless they achieve Grade 4 GCSE or higher. If pupils achieve these grade they can continue to study maths but usually they focus on other skills which will allow them to progress to a suitable college placement or job. Other students continue to work on the qualifications they began in  Key Stage 4: Entry Level Number Suite, Entry Level Functional Skills, Level 1 Number and maths GCSE. Students will take exams as and when appropriate.  As in earlier key Stages pupils will spend some time working on the practical skills outlined in PFA. Students taking GCSE exams continue to study 3 lessons a week other students take 2. In the spring term exam students will use a lot of their EHCP time to revise for the exams they are taking.
