The school want to support students who are based in mainstream, but are encountering barriers to learning due to social, emotional, mental health issues or SEND. These issues can be down to depression, trauma, low self-esteem and confidence, challenging behaviours and/or anxiety, which are having a detrimental impact on their educational learning and engagement in school.
The agreement between the schools and staff would be an expectation to work to agreed objectives which facilitate achievement, through requiring educational activities to be delivered and tailored to meet the needs of the child/young person. The school will support the team around the child to design and deliver a person centred programme.
