    Governance

The Governing Board work as a team, having responsibility for making sure the schools provide a good quality education for all our pupils. Raising educational standards in school is key to our work.

Our board members have high expectations for all pupils and our aim is to ensure our children get the best from their time in school.

Our board promotes effective ways of teaching and learning when helping to formulate and set the schools' aims and policies. They do this together with the Headteacher, who is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the school.

Our board members support and challenge the Headteacher by gathering views, asking questions and discussing what's best for the school.

The Governing Board roles and responsibilities include:

    • being accountable for the performance of the schools to parents and the wider community
    • assisting in planning the school’s future direction
    • making decisions on the school’s budgets and staffing, including the performance management policy
    • deciding how the schools can encourage pupils' spiritual, moral and cultural development
    • making sure the school provides for all pupils.

The board meets termly and does not comprise of any sub-committees.
