Monday
am Logon to conquermaths. I’ve added new work its more straight forward than the work I set before.
pm Either on your daily exercise or by looking out of the window, look out for signs of spring. Make a list of 10 things you can spot. From where I’m sat now I can see; blossom, weeds in the paving and birds singing.

Tuesday
am From the list you made yesterday write a short recount on the signs of spring, try to add literary devices such as personification.
pm. Do a bio blitz in your garden. Look in the sky, under stones and plant pots, even try digging over a square of soil. Make a list of what you find. Don’t eat any of it, no matter how juicy the worms look! Wash your hands!
 
Wednesday
am Use google to try and identify what you found Yesterday. If possible try and find their Latin names. The thrushes name is funny.
pm Go on force yourself have another go at conquermaths I can look online and see how you are doing. If not I’ll have to send an exam paper next week.
 
Thursday
am Make lunch for everyone in your house. Wash your hands!
pm Write a persuasive piece to convince me and MrsLay what grade we should give you for your GCSE. Tell us haw hard you have been working and which things you can now do. I’ll ask your parent what you think when I contact them.
 
Friday
am . Write a shopping list for all the treats your going to buy when things get back to normal
pm Have a think about your average day draw a pie chart to show how you spend your time. Remember each hour is 15 degrees. Don’t worry if you don’t have a protractor just do your best estimate.

Make a work plan for your week – plan in revision and activity time.

Activity 2

Help an adult plan a meal at home with food that you already have. Help to make the meal and make sure you help to wash the pots or load the dishwasher. 

Day 2

Activity 1

Planning for the future – find/research 3 different jobs that you would like do in the future. Write these down, tell me why you would be good at each job and what qualifications you would need.

Activity 2

Plan a journey from Rotherham to Newcastle. You must use public transport. Tell me the type of transport, the times you need to get it and how much it will cost (if you can find this out).

Day 3

Activity 1

How many days in a year? How many days are in each month? Which months are in which season? 

Activity 2

If you can, do some exercise, this can be sporty or it could be a walk to the local shops.

Day 4

Activity 1

Help out with some household jobs, this could be something like ironing, dusting, hoovering, washing up. Ask an adult which they would like help with.

Activity 2

If you have something to build with (Lego, Meccano, Dominos etc) make a building and take a photo.

Day 5

Activity 1

Design your ideal desert island. What would you have on it? Think about essential services and non essential services.

Activity 2

Plan a walking route to your local post office. How long would it take to walk? Is this the safest way? Does this route make use of any crossings?

Monday

Morning

Complete the first half of the GCSE maths paper in your pack. Try to write something for each question.

Afternoon

Do 10 mins of exercise, watch the Green Goddess or Joe Wicks and join in.

Tuesday

Morning

Do you think we should all wear a school uniform? Write a persuasive letter to Mr Silvester arguing for or against. Remember to use AFOREST

Afternoon

Be creative; draw a rainbow, learn how to draw a cartoon character by using Youtube or learn a new song

Wednesday

Morning

Read a newspaper article online. Can you identify facts and opinions?

Afternoon

Logon to Conquermaths. Open the tasks and try to complete 2 of them. Make sure you listen to the video. If you can’t find the task do a search for trigonometry and do the first two tasks.

Thursday

Morning

Find a picture in a book or online. Write a description of this image for a creative writing competition for teenagers.

Afternoon

Create a science quiz and try it out on your family.

Friday

Morning

Complete the maths paper you started on Monday.

Afternoon

Make a meal for someone and list the ingredients, try and work out how healthy it is.
