As part of their art topic on sculpture, the Year 3 children from Model Village visited The Harley Gallery, where they explored a range of inspiring artwork and sculptures. During the visit, the children took part in a workshop where they designed and created their own imaginative hats. We are incredibly proud that their finished creations are now proudly displayed in the gallery for visitors to enjoy.

The excitement continued when Year 3 became “tomb raiders” for the day during a special visit from Mansfield Museum. The children immersed themselves in the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt by solving mazes, examining artefacts and mummies, and learning how to translate hieroglyphs. They then worked together to curate their own museum-style displays and confidently presented their discoveries to the rest of the class.

These memorable experiences brought learning to life and gave the children wonderful opportunities to develop their creativity, teamwork and curiosity.
