Whaley Thorns Primary School has an agreed Published Admission Number (PAN) of 30 for Reception, admitting pupils up to this limit. We take children from ages three years and above. The school follows standard local authority procedures for admissions, with applications opening in the autumn for the following September and a January deadline. Priority is given to looked-after and previously looked-after children.

We offer 15-hour sessions over the course of the week; these can either be a morning session (08:30 to 11:30) or an afternoon session (12:10 to 15:10). We also offer 30-hour sessions over the course of the week (08:30 to 15:10) the 30-hours are only offered to families that are eligible, and a code can be provided.

We do not provide any optional extras.
