    Stuart Ayre

Stuart has worked within the civil aerospace industry at Rolls-Royce for over 7 years with a range of experiences in business and project management, this includes analysing project financial health, dealing with enterprise resource planning systems and providing guidance on budget management and load capacity planning. This is supported by a BA Hons Degree in Business Management and more recently the Project Management Qualification (PMQ) (IPMA Level D, SCQF Level 7) awarded by the Association for Project Managers (APM), which he will be shortly formally associated with.

Stuart has recently started working as an integrated project team lead responsible for delivering tools in time for building a development engine. This involves ensuring adequate design definition is provided to a team of tool designers and manufacturing engineers, enabling tool specifications to be written for releasing to an external design and make supply chain. Managing a cross-functional team from various parts of the organisation requires effective communication and sufficient key performance indicators to keep on plan.

Prior to this role he was a business controller for numerous civil aerospace engine projects, providing financial analysis and management information to the projects executive teams to aid decision making. This included forecasting with comparisons to business case, managing financial accruals, consolidating resource request for load capacity planning and general guidance and support to multiple layers of the organisation. Combined with his project management experiences he has a vast array of experience in how to effectively forecast and manage projects to ensure objectives are achieved.

Stuart has also been involved in volunteering activities supporting local communities including being a group leader for Derby Toc-H Children’s Camp which provides a summer holiday for children that need it most. He has also been involved with some STEM (Science Technology Education & Maths) activities whilst part of a graduate community project team which provided oversight to the generation of a standard school syllabus for horticultural modules. These experiences have given him a better appreciation of how catering for individual needs can support children progressing through their education and aid in socialising to build important friendships.
