History at Stubbin Wood
The aim of our history curriculum is:
- ensure pupils understand historical concepts such as continuity and change, cause and consequence, similarity, difference and significance, and use them to make connections
- enable pupils to know and understand significant aspects of the history of Britain and the wider world
- encourage pupils to ask questions, think creatively and critically, consider viewpoints including evidence
- some pupils will learn to draw contrasts, analyse trends, frame historically-valid questions and create their own structured accounts, including written narratives and analyses.
