    Science

All children and young people have the right to an education that develops their respect for the environment under Article 29 of the UN Convention on Rights of a Child (UNCRC)
    Science at Stubbin Wood

The aim of our science curriculum is:

    • enable pupils to explore the natural and scientific world around them through active exploration
    • encourage pupils' curiosity and encourage questioning, problem solving, investigating and observation
    • ensure that pupils develop understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science through different types of science enquiries that help them to answer scientific questions about the world around them
    • equip pupils with the scientific knowledge required to understand the uses and implications of science, today and for the future.

The science curriculum at Stubbin Wood develops scientific knowledge and conceptual understanding through the specific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics.
