All children and young people have the right to an education that develops their respect for the environment and to learn about their own culture and other cultures under Article 29 of the UN Convention on Rights of a Child (UNCRC)
Geography at Stubbin Wood
The aim of our geography curriculum:
- ensure pupils develop contextual knowledge about their local area and significant places around the world including their defining physical and human characteristics
- enable pupils to to collect, analyse and communicate with a range of data gathered through experiences of fieldwork; some pupils will learn to interpret sources of geographical information
- communicate geographical information in a variety of ways
Some pupils will develop an understanding of some geographical processes that give rise to key physical and human geographical features of the world.
